Tea Time Colorado Meetup Going Strong

As the tea craze continues to gain momentum Colorado's tea meetup group is gaining populatriy and continuing opportunities for tea drinkers across the state to share a cuppa tea with great company. October 16th marked the one year anniversary for the Tea Time Colorado meetup. We also reached our 100th member of the Tea Time Colorado meetup in November. The excitement for the Tea Time Colorado meetup group has shown continuous growth due to the members and word of mouth. Look forward to many more great events, tea tastings, sponsor discounts and more. If you would like to join the Colorado tea meetup click here to take you to the meetup group.

Tea and Truffle Pairing at Capital Tea

The polls are in! We had 100% of our poll votes select Capital Tea as one of our locations for our 2010 meetups. This will be one of several meetups that I have scheduled at Capital Tea this year due to the high demand.

Meetup Details

5:00pm - Treats, Eats, Mingling and Shopping
Interested in eating some fine treats amd sandwiches over tea? Come early to mingle with the meetup group and have a bite to eat. This would also be a great time to select the teas you would like to purchase to take home with you. Lisa Biro, owner, always has reasonably priced loose leaf teas that are high quality and always fresh.

5:30pm - If you are not having a bite to eat, try to be at Capital Tea by 5:30.

6:00pm - Tea and Truffle Pairing will begin
Join Tea Time Colorado as we bring two fascinating women to our February 11 meetup. Judy Williams, Tea Specialist and founder of Tea Talks, will teach you how the right tea can enhance the flavor of the chocolate, how to appropriately pair tea as well as learn about the healthful qualities of tea.

Julie Whitcomb, chocolatier extraordinaire and owner of Truffilicious Truffles is one of Denver's newest...and greatest chocolate sensations! If you think you have a chocolate addiction, wait til you try her Dark Chocolate Genache Truffle, a White Chocolate Truffle or even a truffle with a hint of chile. Julie also has a number of health benefits to share about chocolate that you will not want to miss!

A collection of five truffles will be complimented with five different teas.

The evening will conclude with a drawing for door prizes from local tea businesses, an autographed copy of Discover Chocolate The Ultimate Guide to Buying, Tasting, and Enjoying Fine Chocolate by New York's Chocolate Critic, Clay Gordon, three months of free truffles through Trufflicious' Truffle of the Month Club and other fun surprises.

Cost: $21.00

Parking:Parking is located behind Capital Tea. You may also park on the street.
